The night is always darkest before the dawn

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been slacking on this lately,
schoolwork has kind of become more dominant in my life and I figured If I had to let one slip a bit it should probably be the one that I'm not paying for.

THAT BEING SAID.

I have several hours until it is time for me to register for classes and I am super pumped!

To get this over with. I wish that there was a more calm way of registering than forcing various parts of the campus to wake up at an ungodly time in order to frantically hammer in 5 digit combinations and PRAY that they were a microsecond faster then their classmates. That isn't intelligence. That isn't sportsmanship. That is a pack of rabid dogs chasing 3 rabbits. It's hunger games. It's worthless and unnecessary and I wish that I had a better alternative to it. But there it is.

So yeah. Kinda blows.

Another thing, I have to say that I'm a fan of not having to go to work sunday nights. It really opened my schedule...for homework.

Ah well. We'll see how it goes for registration: If I get what I'm looking for I'll have a fully packed schedule full of things that I need and still have fridays off :D That would truly be fantastic.

For now however, I'm going to relax a bit before the coming storm, perhaps work out a bit to keep my muscles moving so that I'm fit and ready to punch in the right codes.

May I have the strength to do what is necessary.

Until soon,

Welcome everyone to the first installment in Webcomic Wednesday!

Welcome everyone to the first installment in Webcomic Wednesday!

Today as I said yesterday we will be taking a look at SMBC, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal!

Check out their site at: http://www.smbc-comics.com

From graph jokes to math puns, from one panels to long investigations into social commentary these guys do a great job in putting a smile on my face. Here's an example of their work.
Property of SMBC
Personally I'm a fan. Of course, otherwise I wouldn't be telling you about them and you would keep living your life ignorant of their splendor.

Not only does this talented team have this comic but they also have their own short series!

The SMBC Theater, view-able on Youtube!

A great place to showcase their skills and jokes that would have been much harder to translate to the text medium.

Take a look at them and feel free to tell me what you think of them in the comments section! I'd love to hear your feedback as to how good you think they are, if you would like to share any favorites for future WW's, or if you just wanna tell me how wonderful I am. All of these are acceptable!

See you guys later, I'm gunna go have some Moosetracks. Because I want it.

So I figured that I would start a weekly update for Wednesdays.

So I figured that I would start a weekly update for Wednesdays. I figured a good way to start this out is by having some regularity, something people can look forward to. Something that they will be hunched over a keyboard at 11:59 waiting for the clock to strike Midnight so that they can see the update. Clearly if I was this excited I would have just posted it the day before. Unfortunately Wednesdays makes more sense for it

REGARDLESS I DIGRESS, and present to you: (drum roll please)

!!!WEBCOMIC REVIEW WEDNESDAYS!!!

That's right! Every Wednesday I will be reviewing another webcomic that piques my interest in some way.

Coming up tomorrow we will start with one of my personal favorites:
SMBC, also known as Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

Can't wait to show everyone tomorrow!
Until then, this is the Jackwagon signing off

The Beginning of the End

Hello world!

My name for all of your purposes will be Jackwagon. Feel free to call me The Jackwagon, Jackster or any permutation of that, although I'm not sure when you would be talking to me directly as the comments are assumed to be for me. Because they are and I say so.

This is the first of many posts in the SKR, or Stanley Kubrick Rubric

Many of you might not be familiar with this sexy son of a bitch

He is a well renowned writer, director and producer involved in the production of such classics as

  • The Shining
  • Clockwork Orange
  • Fullmetal Jacket
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • Dr Strangelove
among many others!

Now, I'm a big movie fan and enjoy anything from good movies to fun movies to god awful movies, so naturally I felt the need to include that aspect of my life. I also intend to include my thoughts on life, webcomics and things that interest me.

Until next time, I'm the Jackwagon and I'll see yall soon!
